Clown / Balloon Twister
& Decorator Profile:
I started clowning and balloon twisting in 1985, when my Optimist Club was desperate for a clown to entertain100 orphans from Mexico at a “Christmas-In-July” Padre baseball tailgate party. For the next six years I continued to only clown and balloon twist at Optimist youth events. In 1992/93.
I completed the Performing Arts’ Beginning, Intermediate, and Advance Clown-ology classes offered at San Diego State University and became Big Red da Clown.
As a member of San Diego All Star Clowns, I expanded my clowning to include volunteering for nonprofit community service events, visits to hospitals, and convalescent-homes. Over the years, I have continued to improve my skills by attending over 20 clown and balloon art workshops/conventions
